The three leader’s guides contained detailed lessons that can be tailored into 30-minute, 45-minute, or 75-minute sessions (sample outlines are given at the beginning of the book and each component of the lesson includes a time estimate for easy planning). Each catechism question & answer is provided along with a “big idea,” “aim,” Bible passage, memory verse, focus virtue, leader’s notes, a leader’s prayer, “leaders tool kit” that lists necessary supplies to gather before the lesson, a catechism recap quiz, introduction to the question, two activities with instructions, a detailed teaching outline based on an expository Bible lesson related to the catechism question, discussion and questions with answers, a virtue application, a memory activity, and closing prayer time.
The fourth volume of the Leader’s Guide series is a reproducible resource book. This book is organized by lesson and contains 52 graphics and/or items needed for various activities in the lesson. A solutions key is provided in the back for select exercises.
The four copies of The New City Catechism for Kids are provided for your class; additional copies can be obtained separately. This 64-page mini-booklet is small to make it easy for little hands to hold; the book itself contains the 52 questions and shorter, simplified answers.
This kit comes in a cardboard box with Velcro closure and contains:
- Three Lesson Outline Books containing detailed outlines for each lesson (163, 130, and 141 pages respectively, softcover. Measures 7.75″ x 9.25″)
- An activity book with 52 black-and-white reproducible graphics and activity pages

The New City Catechism Curriculum is available as a boxed kit, containing lessons divided across three volumes, a resource book, and four copies of The New City Catechism for Kids.
